            <title><![CDATA[Solarwinds ICMP Polling / Web Portal access]]></title>

            <description><![CDATA[We have identified an issue with ICMP polling in our Solarwinds environment.  The issue appears to be with our cloud vendor Microsoft Azure.  We are currently working with them to resolve the issue.

UPDATE  05/02/2022 2:02 PST:  We are still working with our vendor.  We have identified that only a small subset of nodes are affected.  Majority of nodes are polling fine.

UPDATE: 05/03/2022 7:00 AM PST:  Azure support applied a fix around 2am PST this morning that resolved the ICMP false down issue.  Unfortunately, the fix caused a side issue that has made our public portal inaccessible.  We are working with Azure support to resolve that issue now.

RESOLVED: As of 8:00 AM PST on 05/03 all issues were resolved.]]></description>

            <title><![CDATA[NPM System Upgrade (2nd attempt)]]></title>

ii.     Change description: Due to an issue with obtaining backup of database; we are rescheduling this attempt.  SolarWinds NPM has an available security update that we have determined is in the best interest of company operations to apply as soon as possible.  There will be 1-3 reboots of the infrastructure after a period of unavailability while the SolarWinds software performs it's upgrades.

ix.     Impact of Procedure: CISSDM TAC will have no visibility into customer nodes monitored via ICMP or SNMP in SolarWinds NPM.  CISSDM TAC will continue to have visibility and alerts for nodes monitored via API (including Meraki, Viptella, Velocloud, etc...) during this maintenance window.

x.     Roll Back procedure: CISSDM IT will take a database backup several hours before the maintence window.  This backup will not impact operations of the NPM system.  CISSDM IT will take snapshots of all impacted infrastructure, and should we run into a major issue, we will roll-back the entire infrastructure to the snapshots, and then review further after return of services for a root cause analysis.

            <description><![CDATA[10/24/21: 2340 PDT (CISSDM IT): Due to an unforeseen circumstance with the upgrade process, we are restoring the original version of NPM and will re-schedule this upgrade for another maintenance window time-slot.  All NPM monitoring systems are fully functional.

NPM has an available security update that we have determined is in the best interest of company operations to apply as soon as possible.  There will be 1-3 reboots of the infrastructure after a period of unavailability while the SolarWinds software performs its upgrades. During this time CISSDM will not be polling for proactive status changes for any NPM monitored device. API Monitoring (Meraki, Velocloud, Viptela, etc) will NOT be affected during this maintenance window. CISSDM TAC ticketing will continue to function, and existing tickets can be worked during the update.  CISSDM IT will take snapshots of all impacted infrastructure, and should we run into a major issue, we will roll-back the entire infrastructure to the snapshots, and then review further after return of services for a root cause analysis.
